A non-monitored system is the base of any alarm system. It typically includes door contacts, motion sensors, a keypad and a siren, though additional sensors (either wired or wireless) such as windows, glass breakage, and leak detection can be added to these systems as well. They are not connected to any communication systems and the only alert for these systems is the siren that is in the business.
A self-monitored system adds the ability to receive security alerts via email and/or through an app. This allows you to contact your co-worker, or a neighboring business to see what has happened at the office, but it does not contact the authorities.
A professionally-monitored system is connected through your phone or internet service to a call center. In the event of an alarm, the monitoring station will call a list of numbers that you provide and, when necessary, the proper authorities.

Sheina is a Colorado native and joined HomeRun Electronics in 2017. She started ine the electrical department with invoicing and worked up to managing the Production Electrical Team. She is married with 6 children and 3 grandchildren. In her off time, she enjoys yard work, camping, and spending time with her dogs.
Lela started her career in the home services/builder industry in 2013 and joined HomeRun Electronics in August of 2022. She has a wealth of knowledge within the industry and interpersonal skills. Lela’s husband is a military dog handler, they have two amazing children, and a love for animals. In her time off she can be found in her garden rocking out to Stevie Nicks.
